The comedian

Acclaimed children's author and TV personality David Walliams has been dropped by his UK book publisher, according to an announcement.

A representative for the publisher stated: "Following a thorough review, and under the leadership of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish additional books by David Walliams."

Media sources suggest that the decision was made after an review of reports of conduct deemed unsuitable involving women.

The publisher did not confirm the specific rationale behind the move, stating: "We refrain from speaking about private personnel issues."

A Prolific Writing Journey

Walliams ranks among Britain's most prolific writers for young readers, with sales exceeding over six tens of millions of copies worldwide in five dozen languages.

His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins back in 2008.

A number of his titles, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into TV movies.

To date, he has released over four dozen titles in total, which features a holiday title called *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins this past October.

Television and Literature

He first rose to fame on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He received an OBE back in 2017 honoring his contributions to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.

The publisher's decision comes after the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive in October.
